Hypnotherapy

I offer hypnotherapy to unlock and release all manner of issues from confidence, self-esteem, phobias, ailments and addictions.

My task is to get to the very root of my client’s presenting issue, unpicking and reframing the underlying story that has been responsible for any number of unwanted issues, problems and or symptoms in their life.  It’s a deeply and profoundly freeing process where outdated underlying beliefs and feelings are let go of and replaced by more positive beliefs and feelings.

Addiction

Any addiction serves a purpose; whether it be chocolate, alcohol, drugs, social media, sex, food or any number of other dependences, the purpose of an addiction is to change one’s negative feeling to a positive one albeit temporarily. Once the underlying feelings are uncovered, understood, and updated the process of change and freedom then begins.

It’s sometimes difficult to know why one struggles to feel good especially as it really should be so simple.

You might laugh, but the habit of buying several hundred chocolate bars a month and snaffling them by myself in secret, was an absolutely exhausting process.

I literally tried everything for years, including many hours of really wonderful psychotherapy, which did help, but only temporarily, and there was still no end in sight to the chocolate!

In the summer of 2018, I discovered hypnotherapy and within 24 hours, a miracle happened: the mystery was solved, I had got to the root of the reason why I could not seem to say no to a chocolate bar, a bottle of wine and several other cravings…and the misery began to fade. I then went on to study BrainWorking Recursive Therapy also known as BWRT and the rest is history as they say.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what the addiction is, it’s the underlying feeling that matters, and it must be understood and dealt with.

Only then can the unwanted feelings and beliefs be discharged, followed by positive transformation where new thoughts, feelings and actions can be implemented for a happier life.

Having had such a profoundly healing experience, I began studying hypnotherapy and the rest is history.

Once asked why I was interested in hypnotherapy, my answer was simply: because I want others to feel the way I feel – happy and free.

If you wish to have a session of hypnotherapy, I offer a free 15 minute consultation where we can discuss how the process can help you move forward.

I am a member of the International Association of Counsellors and Therapists (IACT) and the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR).
